INVENTION · R&D · INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
A Swiss portfolio of patent-pending inventions.
Two young inventors from Vaud, Switzerland. One conviction: essential services should never depend on software alone.
US patent application filed 5 October 2026 · patent pending
LEAD PROJECT
Analogue redundancy for essential infrastructure
Unstaffed water and power sites now depend entirely on software, and software can be reprogrammed.
Our answer, US patent pending: a fully hardwired protection layer, no processor, no software, no inbound network path, beneath the existing automation. An intelligent fuse that malware cannot reprogram.
When something happens, a site trips to its safe state and only restarts on its own when neighbouring sites confirm the same event. An isolated trip waits for a human.
-
What it does
It watches, it locks, it waits. Nothing more. The unit does not run the site; it prevents a restart nobody has confirmed.
-
Why now
On 25 September 2026 the Federal Council tasked the DDPS with preparing a draft federal Cybersecurity Act by June 2027. For water and power operators the question is no longer only technical; it is becoming regulatory.
-
What we are looking for
A university of applied sciences for a test bench, and an operator for an observation-only pilot: 2–4 sites, 3–6 months, the unit watches and touches nothing, at no cost to the operator.

This site describes what the device does and why it matters. The how stays in the patent application.
OUR APPROACH
An invention studio, not one more start-up.
MCS develops inventions and does the research that precedes them. We do not build products before we know they hold: we file, then we prove, on a test bench and in a pilot, before any deployment.
-
01 · Observe
A real risk, at real operators, in their own words.
-
02 · Design
The simplest answer that holds without software.
-
03 · Protect, then prove
Patent application first. Then a test bench with a university of applied sciences, then an observation-only pilot with an operator.
We argue this with some credibility, because software is what we do all day. Through Beyond Nova Sàrl, our operating company, we build digital infrastructure and automation systems for growing businesses; MCS Clinic, our SaaS, runs operations for medical clinics. We know exactly what software does brilliantly, and where it should never be the last line of defence.
The lead project is one invention in a Swiss portfolio of US patent-pending inventions, developed through MCS.

PARTNERS AND PROGRAMMES
What we offer our partners
-
Universities of applied sciences
A demonstration test bench: three miniature "sites", one simulated common event, trip to safe state, lock-out of an isolated trip, validated re-arm. Fundable through an Innosuisse Innovation Cheque: CHF 15,000, paid in full to the university.
-
Water and electricity operators
An observation-only pilot: 2–4 sites, 3–6 months, observation only. The unit watches and touches nothing. No cost to the operator.
-
Institutions and programmes
We are building this project with the Swiss and Vaud innovation-support ecosystem, and we welcome questions from authorities and the services concerned. A non-confidential one-page summary is available on request.
